Amble is currently working on two sound walks, one in Nantes France, and one in Belgrade Serbia. The sound walks explore the interfacing of a new city upon a wheelchair user, and highlight textures, experiences and thoughts of the wheelchair user allowing the internal experience to be audible for the audience. She is also the director of h0mephile ensemble, a group of 7 disabled musicians and a creative captioner who use networked technology to improvise live together online. They are currently appearing at the Music and / as Process conference. She is one of the artists involved in The PIP Tapes by Gemma Nash, where artists reflect upon the importance of cassette tapes in disabled communities. Amble has made a soundscape interview with Ricky Buchanan who has severe M.E. The interview explores the experience of the world becoming smaller each time the illness progresses. Amble was also a commissioned artist in the Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival where she wove together poetry and soundscape using EEG sensors which measured her stress levels. https://www.mhfestival.com/2020/681-my-experience-of-isolation-amble-skuse Amble was commissioned to write a bespoke piece for instruments and technology for the British ParaOrchestra. Charles Hazlewood described her as a “fierce creative spirit [that] could not be more welcome! We couldn't ignore Amble's violinistic brilliance (a true sonic adventurer)”. Her album What News with Alasdair Roberts and David McGuinness was described in The Guardian as “Skuse’s laptop textures offer slow-burning, elemental accompaniment throughout. So many intricate ideas here, so beautifully done.” Her most recent work We Ask These Questions of Everybody is a digital opera exploring the lives of Disabled people in the UK. It was premiered at Scotland's Sound Festival and gained a 5 star review from The i “Politically important and an artistic triumph”.
